One cannot mention Praslin without mentioning Vallee De Mai and its Coco De Mer, located in the middle of the island. The valley De Mai is a UNESCO world heritage site. In some well known literature The Vallee De Mai has is reffer to as the  original garden of eden, the palm tree is refer to as the tree of knowledge representing both good and evil, its seeds which is on record for being the biggest seeds in the world is refer to as the forbidden fruit. the coco fes as it is known by many has the shape of a women figure. 

Vallee de Mai today is split into by a main road that connect both Grand Anse and Baie St.Anne Praslin. 

Praslin is the second largest island with a population of just over 10000 people . originally known as Ile Des Palme in 1744 by the famous explore Lazare Pinault. during those period Praslin was frequently visited by pirates and Arab Merchants, till this day some believe there are treasure hidden on praslin. later Praslin was rename as Duc De Praslin.

today praslin is very well known as tourist market with few beaches like Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette rank number one in the world and its five start resorts

accès to the island today is made easy with the hi speed ferry the cat coco from mahe which make a crossing in 1hr. also with the newly improve international airport the air seychelles can get get here in 15min.

The Cat Rose Ferry would take you to La digue in under 15 min, with the easy access today many of the visitor, visiting seychelles visit the tree main island Mahe, Praslin and La Digue.
